Actress Moji Olaiya Finally Open Up: I don't Have Any Alaji Lover, No Alhaji Influenced My Conversion To Islam

Famous thespian, Moji Olaiya has refuted dating any Alhaji, let alone planning to wed him, she added that it's just mere fiction. She further described the tale as unfolded and spurious. In an interview the talented actress cum film maker expressed discomfort about the tale, labeling those behind it idle hands. She therefore advised them to invest their precious time in meaningful things, instead of embarking on unnecessary gossip.

First, I am not dating any Alhaji, and to be honest, my conversion to Islam wasn't influenced by any Alhaji. It's a natural thing. I have said it, and will continue to say it that my love for Islam is natural. But at times, people gossip unnecessarily and wrongly too. I think it's because they are idle, I believe they should concentrate on what can fetch them money, instead of wasting their energy and time on issues like this.

Let me also say this, I am not divorced yet, I am only separated from my husband, they should understand that it's impossible for me to go into another marriage without been divorced. So, what they are saying is absolutely unfounded. It's totally out of place, has anybody even seen me with any Alhaji? Or have I come out to say I am even dating anybody? So, you should know their story can't be substantiated.

Asked to shed light on why she didn't go on pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia this year as expected by her teeming fans, the versatile role interpreter said, first, going on pilgrimage (hajj) is not for fun. It's a serious spiritual assignment. And it's meant for the devout ones, not fun seekers, and as a matter of fact, I can only embark on that when I have mastered the Quran very well. In fact, I have started doing that. I have an intention to perform Hajj but on Alhaji invitation and I believe Insha Allah that will be accomplished at the appropriate time.

Speaking on her new movie, Tinted Alhaji, Olaiya said, that's just a working title. We are still working on the real title for the movie, but one thing I know is that it will surely be one of the best in the history of Nigerian movies. It promises to be a bang; it parades a galaxy of stars, including myself, Ronke Oshodi Oke, Muyiwa Ademola, Aisha Abimbola, kunle Adegbite, Bola Itakun Ife and others.

It's directed by Okiki Afolayan and it's going to be marketed by Okiki films and Records International. By the special grace of God, it will be out before this year runs out.
