He was also know as a Yoruba translator, a broadcaster, TV exponent and pioneer of the first television station in Africa. Western Nigeria Television (WNTV), now know as the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA). He was responsible for translating Nigeria's National Anthem from English to Yoruba.
He also translated speeches being made by Nigeria's former Attorney_General of the federation Chief Bola Ige, military President of Nigeria Ibrahim Babangida, former premier of the western region of Nigeria, Chief Obafemi Awolowo and Chief Ernest Shonekan ,Head of National Interim Government of Nigeria, From English to Yoruba.

Olanike Disu, former director at Lagos Internal Revenue Service, died on Monday, September 4, after celebrating her 54th birthday on Sunday, September 3, 2017. She died suddenly at a private hospital after complaining that she’s not feeling too well.

Here are details about the adored woman and events in her final days as compiled by encomium.ng…

(1)Olanike Disu was a tax expert, a former director at the Lagos Internal Revenue Service, and was the Chairman of the 2018 Annual Tax Committee (ATC).

(2)She was also an Assistant Director with the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).

(3)Olanike was an alumnus of Oklahoma City University where she begged a BA in Mass Communication in 1986.

(4)She was fondly called Madam Tax, and two years ago (October 12, 2015), her brother-in-law, Mr. Tajudeen Disu, the managing director of the Lekki Free Trade Zone, was shot dead during a clash between mobile police officers and youths of Okuraiye community.

She also lost her father, Pa Elkanah Olatunji Kobnah Williams few months after.

(5)Her husband (Abayomi Disu, 1961-2017) was reported to have slumped and died in July. He ran an advertising agency.

(6)It was gathered that she had battle a breast cancer, died in inexplicable circumstances at a private hospital after complaining that she was not feeling too well.

(7)She is survived by her two children, Omoyeni and Ayomide, and her aged mother and two siblings.

An Ifa priest, Chief Yemi Elebuibon, has declared that any man who sleeps with the estranged wife of the Ooni of Ife, Zaynab Otiti-Obanor, faces death.

The Ifa devotee also noted that the former queen must undergo some cleansing rituals with any man before they can become intimate.

In addition, he said the cleansing process is necessary to enable the Olori to regain a normal life.

Chief Elebuibon, who is also an actor, declared the consequence of a queen separating from a king in an interview with The Sun.

The former Ife queen popularly called Olori Wuraola Ogunwusi reverted to her maiden name in August after confirming that her marriage to the Ooni has broken down irretrievably.

While noting that Ooni would not be the first Yoruba Oba to be separated from his wife, Chief Elebuibon said that marriage breakup is not very common among Yoruba Obas.

He said, “The wife of the Oba will be asked to consult Ifa and Ifa will give directions on how she will make the necessary atonement for her cleansing. In Yoruba tradition, a woman who has been married to a king cannot lay with any other man even if the marriage breaks up. But when the right atonements have been made, there won’t be any problem.”

On the kind of problems which an Oba’s ex-wife might encounter if she refuses to undergo the traditional cleansing rites, Chief Elebuibon said: “For the woman, she might not really have a problem but for any man who sleeps with a queen or marries an ex-queen without the appropriate cleansing, the man may die prematurely, he may be struck with sickness or there might be retrogression in his life.”

He explained that if an ex-queen wants to remarry, she would have to do the cleansing with her new husband.

”Both of them have to take part in the atonement procedures so that they won’t have any future problem. Any marriage she would be going into must not be elaborate. They should go far away and avoid any flamboyant wedding,” Elebuibon warned.

The train of the statewide Empowerment / Free Health Care programme of the kind-hearted federal lawmaker, Hon. Dr. Olatoye Temitope Sugar landed in Oke-Ogun area of Oyo State at the weekend with funfair and unbeatable humanface welfare packages.

The lawmaker who is representing Lagelu-Akinyele federal constituency in the National Assembly, Abuja in conjunction with his care-giver organisation, Olatoye Sugar Foundation stormed Oke-Ogun area of Oyo State with message of hope and restoration of abundance to the zone and Oyo State in Nigeria.

Hon Sugar who commended large turn out and warm reception showered on him and his entourage and most especially the patience of traditional rulers who waited since morning and assured Oke-Ogun people of his unflinching support to bring development to the area.

While addressing mammoth crowd at Iseyin and Saki towns at the opening of OSF FREE Medical Center where Hon. Sugar declared every Wednesday as a free medical treatment day for all ages especially ultrasound scan for pregnant women, free eye treatment with glasses and drugs.

The philanthropic lawmaker also declared free malaria treatment for children and adults as well as blood, urine and stool test aimed at reducing astronomical medical fees for rural dwellers.

Hon. Sugar while speaking in Iseyin and Saki towns, urged people to take adequate care of their health saying health is wealth and pledged to do his best through his foundation to facilitate affordable health care delivery to the nooks and crannies of Oyo State.

He appealed to the youths in Oke-Ogun area to avail themselves the opportunity created by his foundation to do Free HIV test and general widal test for free at the medical center at Adeyanju house, opposite Baptist Primary School, Iseyin.

The crowd in Saki was amazed when the grassroot lawmaker distributed Cars, Refrigerators, Gas cooker, Ileya Rams, Cows, Rice, Gaari, Bread and Cash support to people, as they could not hold their joy with full appreciation to their benefactor whom they haven't voted for before now.
Hon Sugar later handed other masses-oriented goods over to community and party leaders to share for the masses.

The train shall move to the Four local government areas of Oyo (*Atiba, Afijio,Oyo East, Oyo West ) and other parts of the state forthwith.
