6th of April when Twitter users came for
Movie Producer/Director, Kunle
Afolayan who is popularly know for
Iconic movies like, "The Figurine",
"Phone Swap", "October 1″ and many
others.
The movie veteran took to Twitter
yesterday to blast the Igbo tribe claiming
that they are the ones responsible for
movie piracy in the country. It is
obvious that the Producer poured his
heart out because he was aggrieved with
the way, one puts all his energy, time
and money into a movie and then when
released, it is pirated and sold for
cheaper prices making them lose
heavily.
Kunle Afolayan later apologized to the
tribe for coming out the way he did,
stating that he has nothing against the
tribe that in fact, his sales distributor is
an Igbo man, who has also complained
about the fraudulent act in the country.
